Fall is coming. What’s your move for getting together with friends? 👯‍♀️

I’ll go first. I invite friends over for chili or tomato soup (homemade, Jason’s Deli, or Panera) and salad. 🥫

I’ll host cozy crafts like diamond painting or ask to meet up after work for a walk.

We might do an admin night where we’re both on our computers or go grocery shopping together and share a cart. Baking cookies together.

No matter the season, friendship can be easy and it gets to be fun!

What’s your move because I’m taking notes and want to make sure I socialize instead of isolate as it gets colder?!?? 😬

My tips and tricks for your ✨ FRIENDSHIP APPLICATION ✨

We’re online all day anyway, and I’m a big fan of using groups, chats, and apps to make friends. I’ve made 3 friends and met so many cool people from running this CAMP OMA - Creating A More Personal Omaha account!

Most attempts to connect online leave us disappointed, but here are a few major ways we can try to set ourselves up for success.

1. List specific hobbies.

Most of us are foodies and like music lol. Share a type of food you’re always craving, which bands you follow around on tour, and what your idea of a fun night out looks like.

This gives others ideas (and courage) to ask you on a friend date! That’s the goal, really. 🎯

2. State your goals.

What are you looking for in friendship at this point in your life? 👀

👟 Other mom friends in your part of town you could walk with on Saturday mornings?
💧 Friends to join you for group fitness classes at the gym? Let us know which YMCA you frequent.
🎨 Someone to craft and yap with for a quiet night in?
🌮 A friend who’s got the budget to regularly try new restaurants?

3. Take it offline.

The goal of the friendship app should be to invite a conversation. The goal of that convo should be to decide whether or not you want to meet in person. 🤝

** When you’re posting your friendship app, you may need to be direct and specific in asking someone to hang out once you’ve figured out your shared hobbies and interests. **
