Our friends at the Developmental Disabilities Endowment Trust Fund (DDETF) are recruiting a governing board member to play a crucial role in shaping its future! DDETF is a financial tool for people living with disabilities to save and invest in their quality of life while remaining eligible for critical state and federal benefits.

The board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor. Members are selected for the professional and/or life experience and expertise that they bring. These requirements uphold the mission of the program and the individuals it serves. Members serve four-year terms. The board meets quarterly, and board members receive a stipend for their time. Travel costs for in-person meetings are covered.

DDETF welcomes diverse voices and perspectives on the board. They are excited to meet with candidates who represent diverse communities and experiences!

HOW TO APPLY
1. Visit governor.wa.gov/boards-commissions/apply-serve (or scan the QR Code)
2. Click on “Apply to a Board or Commission”
3. Select “Developmental Disabilities Endowment Trust Fund Governing Board”
4. Complete and submit the online application

Did you know? Many Washingtonians with disabilities qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), but every year, 1 in 5 eligible people don’t claim it!

If you earned less than $68,675 in 2025, you could receive up to $8,046 in federal tax credits. This money can help with everyday expenses, medical costs, or savings for the future.

Check your eligibility before you file! Use the EITC Assistant to see if you qualify: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/earned-income-tax-credit/use-the-eitc-assistant
