Broken Pieces Int'l Ministries A Ministry of Restoration: To teach the principals of God's plan of salvation and to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to shattered lives

A word from Broken Pieces Ministries:

When someone is broken, don’t try to fix them. (You can’t). When someone is hurting, don’t attempt to take away their pain. (You can’t). Instead, love them by walking beside them in the hurt. (You can). Because sometimes what people need is simply to know they aren’t alone. –

The Prayer of Jesus
Just as You did for Peter: Jesus say a prayer for me.
We pray for ourselves, we ask others to pray for us, we ask others to pray with us, to stand in agreement with us, and often when we don't know how or what to pray, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us to pray.
But, Jesus, I'm asking You to pray for me, just as You did for Peter when Satan asked to sift him like wheat. Seldom do I remember that You are not just sitting at the right hand of the Father, but You are making intercession on my behalf. I acknowledge that position now! I recognize and accept the fact that You are not praying that I will not be sifted but that my Faith fail not! I receive Your will and prayer for Life.
Thank You, my Redeemer, my Savior, my Lord and King.
Your Servant ~

Reality
Reality is for each of us is actually what our thoughts are. We talked about having erroneous thoughts. When we correct our thought, we are correcting our reality, because we change the way we see it. What I'm saying is that people believe wrong because they think wrong. It's like the power of prayer: prayer may not change your situation, but sincere prayer WILL change you, and your perspective - now you are empowered to change your situation.

Expulsion or Evacuation?

Were Adam and Eve “kicked out” of the garden? I think that it is better understood as an evacuation from a toxic existence. The garden was no longer safe for them. It would have put mankind as an ongoing adversary with God and it would have put us eternally in a fallen setting.

The grace of evacuating us (via Adam and Eve) means that we can re-enter into a proper relationship with God and we will not be stuck in a hostile environment for eternity. Instead, we have an Advocate and a re-entry plan. The evacuation of Eden allows for and points us toward another garden (Gethsemane) that's awaiting us after a season between the gardens.

Reflections:

1. Sometimes God’s grace is experienced in what He does not let us do. Can you think of times in your life where grace was granted by God saying “No.”?

“Ye have not, because ye ask not.”

—James 4:2 kjv

We serve a healing God. He wants to heal broken bodies, broken minds, broken hearts, broken lives, and broken relationships. His Presence has immense healing powers. You cannot live close to God without experiencing some degree of healing. You receive the healing that flows naturally from His Presence, whether you seek it or not.

Paul was told, “My grace is sufficient for you,” when he sought healing for the thorn in his flesh. The healing may be instantaneous, or it may be a process. That is up to God. Your part is to trust Him and to be thankful for the restoration that has already begun. Much healing is available to those whose lives are interwoven with His.

IF IT AIN'T BROKE...BRAKE IT!

Matt. 14:19 When Jesus fed the 5,000, the scripture says "He blessed it and brake it..."

The miracle wasn't in the blessing! The miracle was in the Braking!

Have you been broken lately?

Selah...

YOUR WAR ROOM
The new movie WAR ROOM is about the power of prayer and building prayer strategies. Why is a prayer strategy important? Because we have a very real enemy that wants to stay hidden from you but at the same time, he wants to distract, deceive, and divide you from seeking the Lord and from building healthy relationships with your spouse, children, or other people.
We have to learn how to fight in prayer. It’s interesting when you look at Scripture, Joshua would pray first before engaging in a battle. For example, before attempting to conquer Jericho, he sought the Lord first.
Esther, before going into the king, a decision that could have taken her life because she was not invited before the king, asked the people to spend three days fasting and praying first.
Before Jesus chose His disciples, He spent time in prayer first.
What does that tell us? Before you engage in an issue, a battle, or whatever your problems are, spend time in prayer first. Go to your war room—your prayer closet—and seek the Lord.
When you commit to prayer and you seek God first, you are going before the One that knows the solution and can help you through any circumstance.
So how do we fight? We fight in prayer, first seeking in our war room the One who can handle anything. Trust Him, keep your faith in Him, and go to war in prayer.

Feeling Discouraged ???
In Psalm 42, the sons of Korah wrote about discouragement. Discouragement means that your courage is taken away, which can happen when the source of it is misplaced.
When I am discouraged I often ask myself, “Where is your hope?” I never fail to recognize that I have placed my hope in another person or circumstance during those times. But the truth is that other people can fail or disappoint you; circumstances can change unfavorably. However, our God in heaven is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
I believe that during times of discouragement, your soul is really thirsty for God. That is when you need to re-connect with the source of your hope and courage, seeking the Lord’s presence, studying the Word, prayer, praise, worship, singing Spiritual songs, and serving others for God's glory.
The sons of Korah knew how important it is to seek God's face continually. You can hear their longing for God in the question "When shall I come and appear before God?" You see, they did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit inside of them.
However when we accepted Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit came to live inside of us. So we can go into the temple, into our innermost being, to meet with the Spirit of God right where we are. We have confidence that when we hunger and thirst after righteousness, we are filled!
The sons of Korah knew the source of encouragement: "Hope in God." When you remember that your hope is in God, not a person nor circumstance, it steadies your soul and makes your countenance brighter. In the Psalm, they speak of remembering the Lord, His presence, His power, His lovingkindness, and the song He has placed in their hearts.
Although you may feel that the Lord has forgotten you sometimes, he hasn't. This is another situation in which your feelings have to be measured against God's word. Scripture records that the Lord has his people engraved on the palms of His hands (see Isaiah 49:16)! So we are with Him permanently.
During times of discouragement, we must always remember where our help comes from. Our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven, Earth, and us.

Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.
—Psalm 55:17

After your quiet time, or after church, there is a tendency to check that box, and then get back to life. While this approach is perhaps a natural tendency, it is also lacking in depth. God doesn't just want to watch you live life, He wants to experience life with you.

If problems arise in your journey, share them with the God who loves you, then be confident in His plan for you to overcome them. Cultivate your trust in the face of difficulties, and watch them become blessings.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
—Romans 8:26

Are you sometimes tongue tied or reluctant to pray because it doesn't feel natural, or might even be downright uncomfortable? You are not alone, Satan has convinced many of us not to call on our Helper, who Loves us.

Truth is, nothing is too large, small, unimportant, embarrassing, or irrelevant to share with God, because His Compassion to help is triggered by your weakness. Your realizing you need His help, and asking in faith, is all the invitation He needs to get involved. The subject matter, or the words you use, are not important.
