Excessive heat and dry conditions have resulted in increased fire danger across most of Oklahoma. Please do you part to prevent wildfires Oklahoma! In addition to these reminders, please:
Report suspected wildfire activity to 911.
Avoid areas where wildfire activity is occurring.
Heed evacuation notice from law enforcement and emergency management officials.

🚧💦 Our Town Crew Is On It! 💪

A BIG thank you to our dedicated Town crew for coming in on the weekend to tackle a water leak and get to work keeping our community’s water system running! 👏

Our water lines are aging, and with a limited crew, these repairs can be challenging and time-consuming. But our crew continues to step up, work hard, and do whatever it takes to get the job done—even on weekends and in the Oklahoma heat! ☀️💪

We know the work may sometimes cause a little inconvenience, but please know our crew is working hard behind the scenes to take care of these issues as quickly and safely as possible.

💙 We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and commitment of our Town crew. They may be a small crew, but they have a BIG impact on our community!

Thank you for all you do to keep Okeene running! 👏🚧💦

UPDATE: OG&E just went through Kingfisher. We are still waiting on him. OMPA is here and ready to assist him if needed.

If your house gets too hot and you need somewhere to cool down, the council room will be open as a cooling station. You are welcome to come and stay until the power is restored. If you need assistance, please let us know.

SECOND UPDATE: OG&E is on scene but we do not have a restoration time right now.

We are aware of the town wide power outage. There is a fire on one of the OG&E lines that has caused us to lose power. We do not have a restoration time at this moment. We will update as we have more information.

🌊☀️ Today and tomorrow are your last chances to enjoy the Okeene Public Pool this season!

The pool will be open today, Monday, July 27, 2026, and tomorrow, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, before closing for the season.

Come out, cool off, and make a few more summer memories with family and friends before we say goodbye to another great pool season. We look forward to seeing everyone for one last splash!

This will be the final week that the Okeene Pool is open for the 2026 season, so come make a few more summer memories with us!

Pool Hours Next Week:
💦 Monday, July 27: 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
💦 Tuesday, July 28: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Tuesday, July 28, will be the final day the pool is open this season.

We sincerely apologize for having to close earlier than usual this year, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. Thank you for making this a fun and memorable pool season—we hope to see you one last time before we wrap things up!

UPDATE: The water has been turned back on. If you are still without water, please call 580-822-3035 and report it. Thank you for your patience.

The town crew had to do an emergency shut off of the water to repair the water main. They hope to have water back on within the hour.
