Merry Christmas!

We are not Jewish.

And yet, in light of the several terrorist attacks these past three days, we feel compelled to stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters in honor and reverence to ALL those who have once again been hunted by evil Jihadi and Trantifa .

So tonight, for the first time, we join you in lighting our own , and with you, we raise our prayers to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob- the Hope of Israel, and the Everlasting Father of us all!

We pray that The may bring us a measure of the relief, healing and love that only He can bring. And that this fourth day of may greet us with a respite from the devastation raging in our synagogues, churches, homes and Christmas Markets across the world.

May we honor Him by the and that WE bring to the lives of all those He may place in our path.

STANDING ROOM ONLY

I finally found an alcove in the hallway around the back side of the service where I cracked the door to listen in as Sgt. Miles’ friends and family share their insight into the life, love and service. And I’ve never seen this chapel and building so full.

My deepest condolences to all those who knew and loved Sgt. Miles. Brandon served our state and community for nearly two decades in the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, and our country in the United States Army, serving multiple tours of duty.

The cost of that service need not be the lives of those who volunteer to protect our own.

In the words of one of the speakers today, “Brandon Miles made our lives better.”

It is an honor to have known you.
