International Police Association - IPA - Region 10 New Jersey The IPA is a friendship organization uniting Police Officers around the world, through networking opportunities, travels, sports and leisure activities.

The International Police Association was formed Jan 1, 1950, because Arthur Troop, a police sergeant from Lincolnshire, England, wanted to create a channel for friendship and international co-operation among police officers. The IPA today has 62 member nations with 400,000 members worldwide. There are 51 Regions in the United States Section, comprising a membership of nearly 7,500 Police Officers,

active and retired. AIMS OF THE IPA:
• To unite in service and friendship all active and retired members of law enforcement service throughout the world in member countries.

• To arrange exchange, rest and recreational programs, communication, friendships, and study group visits.

• To establish an educational program to meet the needs of the members through study outlines in approved law enforcement subjects. The International Police Association is a Non for Profit Police Organization and Tax Exempt under Article 501-C 3 of the Federal Codes
