We had the pleasure of welcoming second grade students from Broad Ford Elementary School during their visit to the Courthouse on Friday, May 14, 2026! Students learned about the court system and what lawyers, judges, and clerks do. A special thank you to the teachers and volunteers who accompanied these students and made the trip possible.

Sheriff Meyers and the Administration of the Detention Center would like to welcome new Correctional Officers Darick Kerns and Nicholas Riley who recently graduated from the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions, Correctional Entrance Level Training Program in Sykesville, Maryland.
