My name is Matt and I am broken. I am not a minister, I have never had formal education in the art of ministry. I am a ordinary, average guy who, while having an understanding of God most of my life, never really applied Gods word TO my life. I was raised Catholic and blessed with strong family values and morals. As I grew, I let my will , my desires, my wants dictate the course of my life, despit
e the hardships they normally caused. I always had a basic understanding of the "right way" to life, but always let "my way" prevail. In the end though, most of us know, it never really works so well. A few years back, I hit a low. My habits of living in deception, fear, pride and lust nearly cost me everything I valued and loved. It took hitting that "bottom" for me to realize I needed to make a change, and with two little boys to giude and parent, I needed to do it soon. SO a little over two years ago I turned it all over to God and let his wil start to dictate the course of my life, and while it has been far from an easy journey, I'm starting to now see the results of my choices as they effect others in a positive way. As I continued to grasp a better understanding of Gods will for me, I started to share my journey with others. Through Facebook posts, casual conversation and righteous living, I began to attract people to me, to share an understanding and have a positive effect on others, and that really started the fire burning. I have been far from perfect in this walk, yet I feel that it is my flaws, my set backs, that can help people realize that you do not have to be perfect to strive for a perfect will. We all sin every day, we are all broken, all of us. And while none of us can ever life free of sin, and we can never fix all of our broken parts. What we CAN do, is look in the mirror, take responsibility for our actions, identify our flaws, and make a commitment to not letting them dictate our lives, rather make them a testament of how far we have recovered and healed. This is my mission setting up this page, to share my brokenness and my efforts to heal, revoer and be more than just a sum of my parts. TO reach others lost like me, devoid of answers and direction, and may, just maybe start them on a path of recovery similar to mine. For I can think of no greataer purpose on this world than to help share the Love of God and watch as it heals someone souls. Please feel free to share thoughts, ideas and feedback on anything I say. I have no "agenda" and follow no real doctrine. I read the bible, all different versions, and try to find ways to apply it's simple principles to every day living. And it's really starting to work. I believe in God the Father, I believe that he concoured death, I believe in the Holy Spirit, and that he's coming back again. I also believe God gave us all the answers we need to life a righteous and happy life, but it's up to every one of us to apply these to our lives and quite blaming all of our failures on him when we refuse to do so.
