With the recent weather we are having here are some friendly tips to remember while recycling:

1. Avoid putting recycling bags directly on the ground especially if there is ice. The bags can freeze, stick, and rip.

2. If you have curbside recycling wait to put it out until the morning of pickup days. This will help avoid the snow or wind that could affect the recyclables.

3. Christmas brings in new electronics so if you have old that you are looking to get rid of you can recycle old electronics out at the transfer station at our new e waste bins free of cost. As well as old household batteries that might come with new toys/ electronics.

In an effort to better serve the community, we are placing drop bins at convenient locations and working with local partners to make recycling responsibly easier. Anything containing hard drives or data storage will be destroyed on pick up.
