A message from the Office of the Superintendent:

Hi Lancers,

We are excited to introduce something new across our schoolsโ€”the Portrait of a Learner, also known as the Lancer Way. Being a Lancer is about how we learn, how we treat others, and how we grow each day. It means being curious, working hard, showing respect and care, and finding ways to solve problems and help others.

Over the next few weeks, we will be visiting classrooms across the district and asking one important question: What does being a Lancer mean to you?

We are also launching a district-wide art contest for students in all grade levels. Students will have the opportunity to create an art design that represents the Lancer Way and shows what it means to be a Lancer in a creative and meaningful way. More information will be shared soon by teachers.

We are proud of our students and the many ways you demonstrate the Lancer Way every day.

โ€”

Dr. Jennifer Oโ€™Neill
