25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸
Last night, the Northport community came together in Village Park to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognize the heroes who answered the call, and reflect on the strength and unity that carried our nation through one of its darkest days.
As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken too soon, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who spoke and shared their words, reflections, and remembrances during the ceremony. A special thank you to guest speaker Jessica Trant, daughter of Daniel Patrick Trant, who lost his life on September 11, for sharing her family’s story and helping ensure that the lives and legacies of those lost are never forgotten.
A special thank you to the Northport American Legion for their role in helping organize this meaningful memorial, and to the Northport Village Fire Department and Northport Village Police Department for joining the community in honoring those we lost and those who answered the call.
Thank you to everyone who gathered together as one community to remember, reflect, and pay tribute.
Today, tomorrow, and always, we will never forget. 🇺🇸
