At about 5:00 to 5:45, as the sun goes down, it hits the changing trees, and they light up in the most amazing way. My camera phone really doesn't do it justice, but it's amazing. It's only for a few days, as the old maples turn, but it's really glorious.

So the buck who is injured has been hanging out at the cemetery for a number of days, probably because it feels safe. If you are one of those people who still refuses to follow the rules and leash your dog, you might want to make this the time to actually start doing so before your dog takes off chasing this deer. As always, it's up the owners to be responsible. Dogs will be dogs.

Wow.. tough week. We note the passing of Mike DiNella, of Custom Monuments. He made and set many of the stones in the cemetery, and always had a smile and a laugh for us. He will be missed. RIP Mike.

William Cope was the Supt. of the North Weymouth Cemetery Association for many years, starting in 1984. He oversaw much of the rejuvenation of the cemetery and the expansion of several sections. And he was always on the look out for needed equipment on his yard sale runs. RIP.
