📍S.R. 7 - North Vernon

On or after the evening of Friday, June 12, crews will close S.R. 7 over the CSX railroad located between Hayden Pike and Washington Street to complete a bridge deck overlay project in North Vernon. S.R. 7 is expected to remain closed for up to three days and reopen early Monday morning, weather permitting. 🚧 Public Service Announcement from the North Vernon Police Department 🚧

The State Street Bridge will be closed for construction next weekend, June 12–14.

The red blocks shown in the photo below indicate locations where "NO SEMI" signs will be posted. Due to traffic hazards and limited maneuvering space, semi tractor-trailers will NOT be permitted in the area during the bridge closure.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important work is completed safely.

Please share this information with anyone who may be affected by the closure.

🚨🚨Rumpke Trash Update 🚨🚨

February 3, 2026
Rumpke’s trash truck broke down halfway through today’s route. The remaining stops from today will be picked up tomorrow morning (February 4th)
Rumpke will also run the Wednesday route as scheduled, and Thursday trash will be picked up on its regular day.
