I'm Republican running for the 1st district of WV for US House of Representatives in 2026. I am 42 years old. Born and raised here in Southern West Virginia. I made the decision to run for office simply because I couldn't sit by and watch our rights be taken away! I want my children, and yours to enjoy the same freedoms we all had growing up. There's a lot of talk surrounding Welch Community Hospital in McDowell County. Whether it's closing, being sold, or something in between. You'd think that would be enough to bring Congresswoman Carol Miller down here by now.
But it hasn't.

She talks about rural healthcare access. She just won't come talk to the people who need it. No visit. No media statement. Not even a Facebook post. And that's what makes this so frustrating, because from what I understand, federal funding is at the center of this whole conversation. Yet not a single word from our Congresswoman.

Here's what I've been told: the State may be looking to sell the hospital because it simply can't keep it operational. There's not enough money. That's exactly where the federal government steps in. Under federal guidelines, a Critical Access Hospital can receive federal funding, but from what I understand, it would need to be sold to another entity first in order to qualify for that designation.

Now, I'll be honest, I don't have all the details, and I'm not claiming to. But that's exactly the point.
We're not being informed like we should be.
For those of us in the southern coalfields, we know how vital Welch Community Hospital is. It's not just a building it's a lifeline. Our elected officials should be doing a whole lot more to keep us in the loop. That's not asking for much. That's the bare minimum.

So here's what I'm asking you to do:
Call Congresswoman Carol Miller's office and demand answers. Ask her where she stands on Welch Community Hospital. Ask her what she's doing to secure federal funding. Ask her why she hasn't said a single word about it publicly.

Don't let this get swept under the rug. The people of McDowell County and the coal fields deserve answers, and they deserve them now!

I told him, keep his focus on God, because God has big plans for him! I'm so glad today finally came. It helped me close out that horrible part of my life. Just shaking his hand after everything I saw was a major relief for me, and I'm sure for him also.❤️

They manufacturer diseases, then sell us the "treatment"! One side says "health care for all!" The other side continues to ignore the issues! Both sides continue to line their pockets, all at the cost of lives!! Let this sink in folks! Stop accepting this as "normal"! Want a great example? Look no further than Covid! A lot of these politicians got rich, your family members died, and the rest of us paid the bill!!!
