For over 70 years, the Holy Ghost Society of North Smithfield has quietly assisted local people who are struggling. The recipients of our donations are identified to us by those who know about our mission to help those in need who have come up against difficult health and financial challenges. By simply contacting a member of the Holy Ghost Society, anyone in our community has the ability to reque

st financial assistance for someone they know who is up against challenging times. Except for the cost of running our traditional Portuguese Festival and Fund-raising Auction every August, 100% of our funds are re-distributed to local people in need.

This Sunday is our festival! Looking forward to carrying on the tradition. We may be at a new location this year but the goal is the same! Raising money for those in need locally throughout the year, coming together to honor our past and our family heritage! See you there!

Our Portuguese festival for August 2017 unfortunately cannot be held this year. Our location is in the process of being finalized as the new Lindy's Tavern restaurant and unfortunately will not be ready in time. Please stay posted for an upcoming beer and dynamite event and we look forward to 2018 and the start of our feast again.
