The City of North Ridgeville has upgraded its phone system and transitioned to a new vendor. With this change and the opening of the new police station on March 18, all city phone numbers are changing, with the exception of the French Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The 2024 Hydrant Replacement Project was awarded to Diggers of Ohio, LLC for $385,256.81. Work is expected to begin April 1 and last approximately two months. The project includes the replacement of 35 existing fire hydrants along Chestnut Ridge Road, Lorain Road, Island Road, Pitts Boulevard, Wil-Lou Lane, Root Road and Reed Road. Water will be shut off temporarily during this work and impacted residents will be notified ahead of time. The new North Ridgeville Police Station will be fully operational on Monday, March 18. All personnel will be relocated from the station attached to City Hall to the newly constructed facility at 7070 Ranger Way. For more information, visit the city's website at https://tinyurl.com/NRPoliceStation.

With the potential of heavy traffic in our community on Monday, April 8 for the solar eclipse, Ranger Way will be closed to vehicular traffic. Access to Kenssington Drive will be maintained. Additional road closures may occur before, during or after the eclipse, and local traffic may be rerouted based upon on traffic conditions.
