TEENS: Join our team for this year's nature-themed Summer Reading Fest!

We're looking for teen volunteers to help set up, run, and breakdown various activity stations during the Fest on Saturday, June 20. Community service hours will be provided.

Interested volunteers are required to attend this training session and commit to a 10am - 3pm shift on the day of the Fest. If you cannot attend both days, we kindly ask that you do not register. Registration opens on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:00pm.

The 2026 Children’s Summer Reading Program is almost here, and we’re inviting children entering Kindergarten through 5th Grade to join in the fun all summer long!

Participants will read at least 20 minutes each weekday, then once a week stop by the Children’s Department to explore our interactive, life-sized game board, complete mini-challenges, and earn raffle tickets for prizes.

📅 Registration opens June 1, in person, in the Children’s Department—pick up your Summer Reading sheet and get ready for the adventure! Reading and challenges begin Monday, June 22 and run through Friday, August 14. Great news: there is extra time built in in case you start after June 22 or miss a few days of reading.

👧 Children entering Kindergarten through 5th Grade are welcome to participate!

🏡 Participation is open to North Haven residents, children of Town of North Haven employees, grandchildren of North Haven residents, and children who do not live in North Haven but attend a North Haven public school.
