The Town of North Haven is accepting sealed bids for a 7' Ringo Grade Blade and 7' Ringo Landscape Rake attachment. These attachments will be sold together as one lot.

💰 Minimum Bid: $1,200

✔ Sold as-is, where-is
✔ Available for inspection by appointment
✔ Highest responsible bidder meeting the minimum bid will be awarded the equipment

We would, once again, like to thank everyone for being patient with our Transfer Station situation. We would also like to remind those less patient people that the employees and Select Board members are truly doing all they can to keep the Transfer Station operating as best they can. Certain employees are taking time away from their own busy schedules to cover and all Select Board members have volunteered their own time to cover. We realize the sporatic schedule and the new weekday-only schedule can be less than convenient but, as of now, it's the best we can do. Breaking in and leaving trash when we are closed in unacceptable and only makes more work.

Reminder: tomorrow (Tuesday, June 9) is primary day and the polls are open from 10am to 8pm. There will be no clerk services after 9:30 am tomorrow. ALSO: We are out of 2027 car registration stickers until tomorrow afternoon so no registrations until Wednesday.

EXTRA FERRY TRIPS JULY 3

North Haven / Vinalhaven / Rockland - 3 July
The ferry Charles Norman Shay will make three trips on 3 July to assist with holiday traffic– two round trips to North Haven and one round trip to Vinalhaven.
On the Rockland side, vehicles will be taken from the standby lines. For VH and NH, reservations will be available starting 3 June from your respective island terminal.
North Haven Run - depart Rockland 8am, depart island 9:30am
Vinalhaven Run - depart Rockland 11:45am, depart island 1:15pm
North Haven Run - depart Rockland 3pm, depart island 4:30pm

FYI: When we changed our fiscal year (and real estate tax due date) we sent notices along with tax bills to all escrow companies and mortgage lenders. Apparantly some of them did not make the change on their end and so we have a lot of overdue accounts. If you got a notice in the mail (or email) this week and your taxes are usually paid by your lender, please contact them and remind them of the change! Thank you.
