The Borough of North Arlington has recently been featured in BusinessView Magazine as one of New Jersey's Premier Communities.

We are all proud of our hometown and continue to strive to make it better. It's nice to see others noticing too.,

A message from Mayor Pronti on this September 11, 2026.

🇺🇸Today is not a day to discuss politics, indifferences or anything controversial.

🇺🇸Today is a day to remember

🇺🇸Today is a day to grieve

🇺🇸Today is a day to reference, so we are never left as vulnerable as we were 25 years ago

🇺🇸Today is a day to honor those who perished

🇺🇸Today is a day to praise those who became heroes

🇺🇸Today is that day.

🇺🇸Today.

Soledad is running for Bergen County Commissioner on November 3rd. We sure could use representation in lower Bergen County.

There is something special about seeing one of our own community members step forward and give back. We are proud of our resident and friend, whose dedication to Edgewater reflects the spirit of service, connection, and pride that makes our town such a wonderful place to call home.

We are grateful for the people who invest their time, energy, and heart in our community and continue to bring the Edgewater spirit wherever they go.

“From several points along the park's trails, the New York City skyline appears with startling clarity. The contrast between the quiet, grassy wetlands in the foreground and the sharp towers in the distance creates a visual that feels genuinely cinematic.
Sunset visits amplify this effect dramatically. The sky turns orange and pink behind the skyline, and the water in the marsh catches the color in a way that makes every photo look edited even when it is not.
This view has become a quiet favorite among locals who come specifically for the golden hour. It is not advertised heavily, which somehow makes it feel even more like a personal discovery each time.

The NORTH ARLINGTON Scenic Lookout offers one of the clearest vantage points for this view.

Plan to arrive about thirty minutes before sunset and give yourself permission to just stand there for a while.
Some views genuinely deserve that kind of time.”

The requests for lawn signs has been astounding. The messages of support we are receiving from the community—whether through this page, emails, texts, or in person while we are out and about—are nothing short of encouraging and optimistic.

We thank you all for this incredible show of support. While we love the requests for lawn signs and look forward to receiving many more as Election Day nears, we wanted to offer our supporters another option for obtaining one.

Whether you need to replace a damaged sign, pick one up for a friend or neighbor, or grab one for any other reason, we have installed a self-serve sign depot.

It is located on the side of our election headquarters at 155 Ridge Road, attached to the building at the corner of Ilford Avenue and Ridge Road.
Feel free to stop by anytime to grab a sign. The location is always well-lit, and we have numerous security cameras covering the building.

Thank you again to all of our wonderful community members for your unwavering support!!

A SCREEN SHOT AND COMMENT RECENTLY POSTED BY THE MAYORAL HOPEFUL “CHALLENGING” MAYOR PRONTI…

We have to wonder if he actually reads these articles before attempting to use them to bolster his assertions.
Or, perhaps more plausible, is that he just isn't capable of understanding what he is reading.

Here we have an article that was recently published explaining how another local Bergen municipality is being faced with MASSIVE tax hikes.

Based on his comment of “Reassessments are hurting communities around the area.”
Mr. Balwierczak seems to think this article supports his stance on and criticism of rolling reassessments.

If he had bothered to read it more carefully, or maybe asked for help from his handlers to explain it to him, he would have known this article is a perfect example of why rolling reassessments are a responsible fiscal tool and make perfect sense in the long run.

HERE ARE A FEW KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THE ARTICLE;

**“The driving force behind the recent tax hike in (named municipality) is a combination of an overdue municipal property revaluation alongside sharp increases in uncontrollable operating expenses like employee healthcare premiums and trash collection contracts.”

**LAGGING ASSESSMENTS:
In towns like (named municipality), a revaluation had not occurred in 23 years.
This created massive "TAX SHOCKS" for older or unrenovated homes whose values SUDDENLY caught up to the market ALL AT ONCE.

**SHIFTED TAX BURDEN:
Older properties that remained unrenovated had still appreciated dramatically in market value through the years but paid taxes based on vastly outdated data.
While homeowners who recently renovated their homes felt the system finally distributed the tax burden equitably, residents with un-renovated homes bore the brunt of the adjustment due to their property values being dramatically undervalued for far too long.
Borough officials noted they WILL NEVER let an ASSESSMENT GAP drag on again, signaling MORE FREQUENT ADJUSTMENTS MOVING FORWARD.

**EQUITY CATCH UP:
The new assessment forces an abrupt correction across all properties. While residents who heavily renovated their homes (which would have lead to a reassessment at time of final inspection) previously carried a disproportionately large share, the revaluation now flattens and shifts that burden across all town properties.
This causes sudden, multi-thousand-dollar "TAX SHOCKS" for homes that HAD NOT BEEN REASSESSED in decades.
(The same can easily happen based on a 7-10 year reassessment schedule such as what is being touted by Mr. Balwierczak)
