ATTENTION PARENTS of North Adams-Jerome Schools (K-12),

I am interested in starting a Secondary Parent/Teacher/Staff Volunteer Committee/Group. I will be having a meeting for ALL interested on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The meeting will be at 6pm in the High School Library, please enter through the consession entrance.

We would be non profit and I am looking into the 501(c)(3).

This will be an informational/question/answer meeting and shouldn’t last very long. Hope to see ya Thursday!

The last few months I have been talking to parents in our School District and listening to their concerns, one concern from all was bullying… So I’ve been doing some researching and came across Rachel’s Challenge.

If elected, I would like to make a motion for the board to do some research on the cost associated with this program and try to bring them in. The schools that accepted Rachel’s Challenge has seen significant results. (ie; gun violence, suicides, assaults, overall respect for other students/staff)

It’s time we protect ALL children whether at school or on the bus.

We need to enforce the policies we have, it’s time we make all students feel welcome and safe at school or on the bus.

Also National Anti-Bullying Week will take place from Monday, November 11th - Friday 15th.

We could participate with the theme: Choose Respect.

Here’s an example:
We could have a “Odd Socks/Mismatch Outfit Day” with faculty and students being encouraged to wear odd socks/mismatch outfits to celebrate what makes us all unique.
