The Fleet Surical Team adds surgical and inpatient capability when embarked and is composed of seven officers and nine HMs. The Officer billets include the Officer in Charge (CATF Surgeon), One General Surgen, one Family Practitioner, one CRNA, one Peri-Operative Nurse, one Critical Care Nurse and one MRCO/MAO. The enlisted billets include one LCPO, one Respiratory Therapy Technician, two Laborato

ry Technicians, two Surgical Technicians, one Radiology Technician, and one General Duty HM. Two additional team billets (one Psycologist and one Psychiatric Technician) remain undunded. Typically, the FST deploys as an entire unit but sometimes only certain FST elements may embark for underway periods. The CATF Surgeon serves as the senior medical authority afloat for assigned ships when attached to an Amphibious Readiness Group (ARG)
