✨ Meet the Team ✨

Today we are proud to introduce our Mayor, Jake DeMint!

Jake has proudly called Norborne home his entire life. Growing up in this community taught him the value of hard work, strong relationships, and the importance of giving back to the town and people who helped raise him. His love for Norborne and dedication to its future inspired him to step into public service.

In addition to serving as Mayor, Jake stays actively involved throughout the region through his service on the Carroll County 911 Board, the Norborne Soybean Festival Committee, and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. He believes strong partnerships and community involvement are key to helping small towns continue to succeed and thrive.

One of Jake’s greatest joys is raising his daughter, Genevieve, in the same town that helped shape his own life. Being able to watch her grow up in a close-knit community filled with caring neighbors, strong traditions, and hometown pride means a great deal to him.

Jake is passionate about serving the community that has given so much to him over the years, and he takes great pride in working alongside residents and city leaders to help make Norborne the best it can be.

If you see Mayor DeMint around town, be sure to thank him for his dedication and service to the Norborne community!

🌳 Exciting things are growing in Norborne! 🌳

We’re proud to share the vision for improvements to our community parks — spaces designed for families, kids, neighbors, and future generations to enjoy together. From new playground equipment and walking trails to a dog park, pickleball courts, and upgraded recreational spaces, these projects are about creating places where our community can connect, play, and thrive.

Now, we’re inviting YOU to help leave your mark on our park.

Our Park Board donation and sponsorship campaign offers opportunities for everyone to be part of this exciting project, whether you choose to become a Seed Supporter, sponsor a memorial bench, help fund a playground structure, or secure naming rights for a major feature.

Every contribution, large or small, helps move this dream closer to reality.

Take a look at the renderings and donor levels below to see what we hope to bring to Norborne. Together, we can build something special that our community will enjoy for generations to come.

If you’d like to donate, sponsor a feature, or learn more, please reach out to us directly.

✨ Meet the Team ✨

Today we’re excited to introduce Jackie Hall, Ward 1 Alderman!

Jackie moved to Norborne from Carrollton in 2017 and quickly found a strong sense of community and connection in her new hometown. After retiring, she knew staying active and involved would be important, and she immediately looked for ways to give back and make a positive impact in the community.

Her journey of service began by volunteering on a city board, where she gained valuable experience working alongside community members and learning more about the needs and goals of Norborne. That passion for serving others eventually led her to run for Ward 1 Alderman, where she continues to work hard to support the community and its future.

Jackie believes that balancing growth while preserving the small-town values that make Norborne special is essential to keeping the community a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. She is committed to helping Norborne continue to thrive while maintaining the welcoming spirit and close-knit atmosphere that residents value so much.

If you see Jackie around town, be sure to thank her for her service and commitment to the Norborne community!

A big thank you to Park Board member Brett Benefiel for spending his Saturday afternoon installing the new pickleball posts and nets at our park!

These young players were the very first to test out the new court and kick off the fun. The pickleball court is now officially open to the public, and we invite everyone to come out, give it a try, and enjoy this great new addition to our community.

See you on the court!

✨ Meet the Team ✨

Today we’re proud to introduce Josh Elliott, Ward 1 Alderman!

Josh has proudly called Norborne home his entire life and has a deep appreciation for the values, traditions, and sense of community that make our town special. Growing up in Norborne instilled in him the importance of giving back, staying involved, and supporting the people and organizations that help our community thrive.

In addition to serving the community as Alderman for Ward 1, Josh has also proudly dedicated several years to the Norborne School Board, where he has worked to support students, staff, and the continued success of the local school district. He believes strong schools are the foundation of a strong community and takes great pride in helping create opportunities for future generations.

Family is at the center of everything Josh does. He and his wife, Destini, are raising their four children right here in the same community that has meant so much to him throughout his life. Being able to raise their family in Norborne and pass along the same small-town values, work ethic, and community pride is something they cherish deeply.

If you see Josh around town, be sure to thank him for his service and dedication to the Norborne community!
