COVID19 and the Omicron variant continue to make it difficult (and possibly dangerous) for large groups to gather, and we would REALLY like our next Jessamine County 100 Women Who Care meeting a LARGE group, so...the Organizing Committee has decided to cancel our January 2022 Quarterly Meeting--and instead focus on the future.

Our goal is to make our April 2022 meeting a true "Kickoff"--to an awesome new year--one in which we do wonderful things--together--through our quarterly donations to help local non-profits. Please use the next few months to tell your friends about 100 Women Who Care, and invite them to join us at our Tuesday, April 12 meeting. The Kickoff meeting location and other details will be announced closer to the meeting date, so--watch this page!

Looking for a super easy way to introduce Jessamine County 100 Women Who Care to your friends? Just share this post on Facebook, and invite your friends to like and follow our page!

In the meantime...have a Happy New Year!

At tonight’s meeting, Jessamine County 100 Women Who Care member Billie Haws reported on our group’s October 2020 donation to the Clean Cupboard program. In total, we donated $3400 to help provide household essentials like toilet paper, soap, and more to Jessamine County households in need. Wondering how much of a difference you can make with this group? Since it originally formed, Jessamine County’s 100 Women Who Care group has donated over $100,000 to local charities!

100 Women Who Care

The Jessamine County Chapter of 100 Women Who Care meets for one hour, four times a year (quarterly). Each member brings a check for $100 and gets one vote to determine which one local charity, non-profit, or worthy cause will receive that quarter’s donation.

  • Any member can nominate local charities, non-profits, or worthy causes.

  • Members who come to the meeting can put the name of the charity they want to speak about into a hat--the names of three charities are drawn from the hat at each meeting.

  • Either a representative of the charity or the nominating 100 Women Who Care member makes a 5-minute presentation about each cause.
