This past weekend, Camp Nett held a Change of Command Ceremony, a time-honored Army tradition that represents the transfer of leadership, trust, and responsibility.

We extend our sincere gratitude to LTC Hull, outgoing Garrison Commander, for his commitment and service to our Training sites. During his farewell, he took time to thank and recognize several Soldiers of the Connecticut Training Center for their hard work in supporting training operations at Camp Nett, the East Haven Rifle Range, and Stones Ranch. His leadership has left a lasting impact on the Soldiers, Airmen, and civilians who train and serve here.

We warmly welcome LTC Robbins as the incoming Garrison Commander and look forward to his leadership as we continue our mission of readiness and support.

Today we proudly recognized 40 years of dedicated service to the State of Connecticut!

Randall Baker — known to most simply as Randy! — was presented the Superior Civilian Service Medal in honor of his outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment to maintaining and improving our facilities.

Randy began his career in February 1985, and if you’ve ever seen him in action, you’d swear he hasn’t aged a day. Whether he’s up on a roof or elbows-deep in a maintenance project, Randy leads by example and never slows down.

As the Building Superintendent, he oversees facility maintenance operations across a wide area: Camp Nett, New London Armory, Westbrook Armory, UTES, TASMG, Stone’s Ranch, and the East Haven Rifle Range. His leadership and work ethic have kept these critical sites running smoothly for decades and more to come! He is not leaving us ,we are recognizing him for his great service!

Thank you, Randy, for your tireless service, your commitment to excellence, and for being an essential part of the Connecticut National Guard’s mission. We are proud to serve alongside you!

At the Connecticut Training Center, our mission is to facilitate warrior training — but we also ensure our soldiers stay sharp on their basic soldiering skills.

Along with hosting our Change of Command and Change of Responsibility ceremony, we conducted our Annual IWQ at the East Haven Rifle Range and Fort Devens, MA.

We were honored with a special visit from the State Senior Enlisted Leader, CSM Fredricks! He qualified on the M17 pistol, recognized SFC Kerr and SSG Kennerly for their outstanding work at the range, and even served as a line safety throughout the morning — reminding everyone that “Everybody is a safety.” Way to lead from the front!

Special shoutout to SSG Ochoa and his team at CTC for their outstanding PMI instruction and support at the Fort Devens zero range. Thanks to their coaching, the CTC team went through Qualification Table with all first-time GO’s!

The first days of spring are here, and you know what that means—CTARNG’s Best Warrior Competition is underway!

The competition kicked off at Camp Nett with the ACFT, where cold and wet conditions couldn’t shake these soldiers’ determination. They pushed through, giving it their all to prove they have what it takes to be the best!

🎅 Santa’s Here! 🎄

Today, the CTC family came together to celebrate the holiday season and take a well-deserved break after a year of supporting training areas across the state.

The kids had a blast playing on the inflatable slide, courtesy of our Recruiting and Retention Battalion, and got creative with some fun holiday crafts.

To top it all off, Santa himself made a surprise appearance, handing out gifts and spreading joy to everyone! 🎁✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration special. Happy Holidays from all of us at the CTC! 🎉

Today was a bittersweet day for the CTC!

We said goodbye to 1SG Rosario as he departs to take on a new role at our Regional Training Institute on Camp Nett. In turn, we welcomed and pinned 1SG Difronzo, who has officially assumed responsibility for the Connecticut Training Center!

We heard some great words and stories from our Company Commander, Major Cuticello, outgoing 1SG Rosario, and incoming 1SG Difronzo.

1SG Rosario was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal for his time as our 1SG from July 2021 to September 2024.

1SG Rosario, the Connecticut Training Center will miss you deeply, and we wish you all the best in your new endeavor.

1SG Difronzo, welcome! We look forward to building on the culture that 1SG Rosario has created and left behind.

Welcome to the CTC!! Nobody has it better than us!

What did you do this morning?

Soldiers of the CTC were front and center at 0600, ready to take on their ACFT and crush it! 💪 When we’re not assisting training units on our sites, we still ensure we meet our requirements and uphold our fitness standards. Proud of the hard work and dedication from everyone today!

We were honored to host Command Sergeant Major John T. Raines, the 13th Command Sergeant Major of the Army National Guard, during his visit to the Connecticut National Guard! 🇺🇸

CSM Raines stopped by Camp Nett, where he was given a brief tour by our very own Post Manager, Major Cuticello. Following the tour, CSM Raines led a town hall meeting with representation from every unit across the state, sharing updates on the current status of the Guard, future plans, and providing insight on how we can continue to make our force stronger and more effective.

Alongside CSM Fredricks, CSM Raines also took time to recognize several outstanding Soldiers and Airmen from Connecticut who have been performing at the highest levels and representing our great force—the CT GUARD! 💪👏

This weekend, the Connecticut Training Center closed out its fiscal year with a special joint IDT weekend, bringing all four sections together! 🎉 Normally, our sections drill on different weekends to ensure full support for the soldiers and airmen training in our facilities, but this weekend was a rare occasion where everyone was present.

To celebrate, the command team and senior leadership treated our soldiers to a well-deserved BBQ 🍖 and took the opportunity to recognize some incredible members who were integral to our success this past year—and who will continue to shape our future success.

A huge thank you to everyone for your dedication and hard work throughout the year! Here’s to continued growth and success as we move into the next fiscal year! 💪🇺🇸
