Happy Womenโs Equality Day, Sussex County! Today, we celebrate the certification of the 19th Amendment, which secured womenโs constitutional right to vote. We honor the courageous suffragists who fought tirelessly for a seat at the table, as well as the generations of extraordinary women who have shaped, strengthened, and led our nation and our local communities ever since.
As a woman running to serve as your next Sussex County Clerk, this day holds deep personal meaning for me. The right to vote is the bedrock of our democracy, but securing that right was only the beginning. Preserving it every single day requires transparent, accessible, and diligent election administration.
As your County Clerk, I will work tirelessly to protect that sacred trust by focusing on three key priorities:
