Newton Falls Schools is proud to host local law enforcement this week for critical safety training based on the Texas ALERRT model.

ALERRT, which stands for Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training, is a nationally recognized, research-based approach to active threat response. The model emphasizes rapid, coordinated action, clear communication, tactical emergency care, and strong partnerships among law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatchers, and school officials.

While we hope these skills are never needed, preparation matters. Student and staff safety is one of our highest responsibilities, and that work cannot happen in isolation. It takes strong relationships, shared training, and regular collaboration with the safety forces who serve our community.

We are grateful for our local law enforcement partners and their commitment to keeping our schools, students, staff, and community safe.

Dallas Dillon is headed to the STATE TRACK MEET in the High Jump, and he’s chasing a State Championship!

Congratulations to Dallas Dillon, who punched his ticket to the OHSAA State Track Meet with an incredible 6’1” high jump on Saturday, May 30, at Cuyahoga Heights High School!

Now it’s time to send him off the Tiger way!

✅ Police Training Exercise at Newton Falls High School

Dear Newton Falls Families,

We want to make you aware that a planned police training exercise will take place at Newton Falls High School on June 8 and 9 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

During these two days, you may notice police vehicles, law enforcement personnel, and training-related activity around the high school campus. Please know that this is a scheduled training exercise, and there is no emergency.

The area being used for training will be closed to the public during the exercise. For everyone’s safety, no one should enter the training area unless authorized.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue working with our law enforcement and safety partners to strengthen emergency preparedness and maintain a safe environment for our students, staff, and community.

Questions may be directed to The Superintendent’s Office at 330-333-5100.

Absolutely outstanding! 🐅♟️

Congratulations to NF Chess for winning 1st Place in the High School Premier Division of the 2026 Greater Cleveland Scholastic Chess League tournament series!

This is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of our students’ focus, preparation, strategy, and determination. Chess is more than a game. It builds critical thinking, patience, problem-solving, decision-making, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Our Tigers showed all of that and more throughout the tournament series.

Competing at this level takes commitment, and earning the top spot in the HS Premier Division is something our students, families, coaches, and school community can be incredibly proud of.

Way to represent Newton Falls with excellence!

🎉☀️ And just like that… summer is here! ☀️🎉

Today, our elementary staff gathered to wave goodbye as the final buses rolled away, marking the end of another incredible school year in Newton Falls.

To all of our Tigers, we wish you a summer filled with adventure, laughter, family, friends, and plenty of time to relax and recharge. We hope you stay healthy, stay safe, keep learning, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you to our students, families, teachers, support staff, and community for making this school year such a special one. Together, we celebrated achievements, overcame challenges, learned new things, and continued building a school district where every student belongs.

While our hallways may be a little quieter for the next few months, we already can’t wait to welcome everyone back in August for another amazing year of learning, growth, and opportunity.

These talented young artists created beautiful American flags on canvas while showing off their creativity, focus, and school spirit. From paintbrushes to patriotic masterpieces, the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of artistic talent! 🇺🇸🐾

This week, we celebrate four outstanding educators and leaders as they begin a well-earned new chapter in life!

Congratulations to Gina Woodley, Debi Gordon, Sue Thompson, and John Crowder on your retirement from Newton Falls Schools.
