NAVY SEAL SAN DIEGO OPENS OCTOBER 4🇺🇸

Thank you to the entire team at the Navy SEAL Museum San Diego for hosting a privare tour of the museum for me and my family, It has been a full circle moment for me. It’s an honor to leave a legacy with MOY BELL. I put the bell on a stanchion outside of my Instructor‘s office to try to slow a candidate and announced to class 58 that, “If anybody wanted to quit, that they’d have to ring this goddamn bell three times and let everybody know they were leaving. NO more banging a helmet on my office door and leaving in silence.” The bell is also rang three times at the annual Navy SEAL reunion where families read their fallen soldiers name and the bell is “rung out” 3x to honor their service. Ashes are swam into the surf. It's a sound that connects us, not just to the past, but to a future where we honor sacrifice by striving for peace and understanding.

This bell is the constant opportunity to quit. If you ring it 3x during the grueling crucible of BUDS training as well as the infamous runs to Tijuana and back in the sand known as “hell week.” You are dropped from special forces and your BUDS training is ended. This bell has tested great men for generations. Let it always remind us all that there is always a solution, never ring the bell.

On the last day of the SEAL reunion, we all meet on the beach to remember all of our fallen SEALS from the past year. The day starts early with a list of names that is read off from family and friends.

Next, they will step to my old ship bell”
“MOY BELL” that I put into BUDS while I instructed there for 5 years. They ring the person‘s name out three times in honor of their service to our country. When every single name is read out loud all then swim out together, “hit the bay” with ashes on a swim out, and we lay rose petals to never forget 🇺🇸💫
