Winter Solstice 2021

In November 2020, I spent a week in the Newport Hospital with COVID. As a protest against the administration’s failure to respond to the crisis properly, I let my hair grow.
While sporting my "Professor Long-Hair look, my friend Brandon volunteered to shoot a complete video-tour of my museum, which follows the route of my discovery of the who, what, where, when, and why of the Newport Tower.
In one 48 minute-long take, Brandon did an incredible job capturing me, the fast -movin’, fast-talkin’, self-declared professor of Renaissance Mathematical Cosmology.
So grab a sandwich, fasten your seat belt, and enjoy this synthesis of my 30 years researching this building which I claim will someday make Newport a World Heritage Site.

The Towering Tower of Touro Park has informed us that spring has sprung, and the sprouting flowers confirm it.

Only on the equinoxes does the sun shine through the Upper West window, through the tower, and through the Northeast window.

The event last for about 25 minutes, and happens on March 21, as well as on September 21, the Fall equinox.

The alignment was discovered in 2017 by James Ostiguy, seen here pointing to the windows.

The sun is illuminating a patch of grass in the foreground as the dandelion dances for joy, while still maintaining proper social distance.
