The OC Marathon Running Festival is this weekend, and road closures will be in place throughout Sunday (5/3) morning. Expect impacts from Corona del Mar through Newport Center, Castaways Park, Mariners/Dover Shores, the Back Bay and John Wayne Airport.

Key things to know:
• Closures begin as early as 2 a.m. and last through late morning (some areas until around noon).
• Newport Center, PCH, MacArthur, Jamboree, Bristol, Red Hill and areas around the Back Bay will see significant impacts.
• Some streets will be local access only, with delays expected even where roads remain open.
• Freeway access may require detours — plan extra travel time.

If you live near the course, check access points before heading out and consider leaving early.

For full road closures and maps, visit OCMarathon.com/Road-Closures-2/.

For additional traffic-related questions, contact the OC Marathon team at [email protected] or (949) 393-9580.

We love Arbor Day 🌳

Last week, the City teamed up with third graders from Harbor View Elementary to plant five new trees at Grant Howald Park. During the celebration, Newport Beach was also recognized as a Tree City USA community for the 35th year.

Thank you to all the students who were a tree-mendous help planting the trees!
