For more than 15 years Patrick Heffernan has been volunteering for the Town of Newbury. He has supported our children when he coached youth sports, learned the recreational needs of all our residents when he served on the Recreation Committee, obtained a deeper understanding of our zoning bylaws when he served as an alternate on our Planning Board and, most recently, learned the financial needs of municipal governance by serving on the Finance Committee. This depth and breadth of experience within Newbury has prepared him well for this next step in serving the residents of our town-the Select Board.
Prior to his time serving the town of Newbury, Patrick served our nation when he spent 13 years overseas as a diplomat. He brings a special skillset to our Select Board that will serve our town well as we are looking ahead to some significant capital projects: Triton and Whittier school building projects, Fire Department updates and a Town Hall/Council on Aging permanent solution.
Please consider voting for Patrick Heffernan for the Select Board on May 13. A vote for Patrick is a vote to keep Newbury moving forward.
