Traveled to Niagara-on-the-Lake Thursday for the Chamber of Commerce Lunch with Leaders - Canadian Edition. This follows the first Lunch with Leaders program at Apple Granny's in Lewiston last year hosted by the Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce. Happy to join with Mayor Anne Welch and Deputy Mayor Vic Eydt from the Village of Lewiston and Becky Wydysh, candidate for NYS Assembly and other local leaders to continue the conversation of how we can promote our bi-national region and all we have in common.

Today, on behalf of the Niagara County Legislature, I presented a check for $8,548 from the Legislature's Cultural Endowment Fund to the Castellani Art Museum, one of a number of organizations in the Arts & Cultural Coalition of Niagara County. I had the chance to meet with Michael Beam, Curator, Jess Minicucci and Mary Helen Miskuly, who gave me a tour of the latest exhibits, including the awesome USA 250, Celebrating the American Vision exhibit! A must see! The CAM is a cultural gem, right here in our own backyard! It's free and open to all Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00am to 5:00pm at 7 Varsity Drive on the Niagara University campus. We are grateful to Armand and Eleanor Castellani and family for your vision of cultural enrichment through the arts and for this beautiful museum.

Today, on behalf of the Niagara County Legislature, I presented Dave Wedekindt, President of Artpark & Company, a check for $81,880 from the Legislature's Cultural Endowment Fund. Artpark is one of a number of organizations in the Arts & Cultural Coalition of Niagara County, that offer cultural enrichment programs for citizens of all ages while attracting visitors from all over Western New York and from around the world. These organizations create a significant economic impact in our community, with Artpark alone generating a $13 million annual economic impact for Lewiston, Niagara County and WNY. Looking forward to another great season at Artpark!
