This is about equity.
This is about community.
This is about access. 🌳

NYC Parks deserve 1% of the city budget — because our neighborhoods deserve better.

For too long, our public spaces have been overlooked, underfunded, and in some cases, not even accessible to the communities around them.

We are standing together to demand 1% — because our parks matter, and our communities deserve real investment.

Parks are more than green space — they’re where our communities breathe, play, and connect in our concrete jungle 🌿🗽

Today, we showed up, spoke out, and stood together for something bigger than all of us.

Because safe, clean, and thriving parks shouldn’t be a privilege…they’re a right.

Fund our parks. Invest in our people. Protect our spaces.

Because parks are for everyone 💚

This sacred month reminds us of the values that unite us - compassion, sacrifice, gratitude, and service. Ramadan is a time of reflection, generosity, and renewed faith, but it is also a powerful reminder of the strength we find in community.

Here in District 28, our diversity is our blessing. We grow stronger when we uplift one another, support our neighbors, and lead with kindness and understanding.

May this Ramadan being peace to every home, deepen our sense of fellowship, and fill the hearts of all who observe with abundant blessings!

Ramadan Mubarak!

Huge s/o to Mark, our Eastside Neighborhood Director for putting this together… Stay tuned for our Westside Resource Fair, happening this May!
