Meet Kiana Sosa, the pride of Dominicans in BC! 🇩🇴🇨🇦

Kiana is a daughter of Dominican parents, who at only 12 years old has written 2 books and reached number 17 on the Amazon bestseller list, even above Harry Potter. She has managed to sell up to a hundred copies a day”, says Karoline Ureña de Sosa, Kiana's mother. Currently, 78 percent of the book's buyers, who have left reviews on Kiana's Amazon page, rate it excellent.

The story of how little Kiana, who deserves a translator for her interview, but loves creole food, frequently visits the country and feels very Dominican, wrote a book that surpassed Amazon sales last December , the Harry Potter novels, began with a challenge due to a personal disadvantage, she was learning to read more slowly than her classmates, explains Kiana's mother, Karoline Ureña de Sosa.

This weekend we receive Dominican President in New York City. To learn more about programing of the upcoming activities with the president be sure to stay tuned. 🇩🇴🇺🇸

Today the president will hold a meeting with Dominican journalists based in New York and then go to a welcome event organized by the Consulate General at the Armory Track, 216 Fort Washington Ave, from 5:30 to 6:30 in the afternoon. He will also have a conversation with elected officials of Dominican origin, the leadership of the Dominican community in New York, and children of Dominicans born in the United States and nationalized Dominicans between 7:30 and 8:30 at night.

On Sunday, President Abinader will participate in the ceremony of awards to personalities of the diaspora in the United States and presentation of new actions of the Dominican Institute Abroad (Index), to be held in Beverly Hills Manor, Bronx, at noon.
