For decades, Robin Hood has invested in early childhood because the earliest years shape everything that follows.

The Jackie Bezos Endowment for Early Childhood at Robin Hood builds on that legacy and reflects the Bezos family’s deep commitment to New York’s youngest children.

This transformational gift helps safeguard the work in perpetuity — ensuring Robin Hood can continue investing in evidence-based solutions guided by community need, staff expertise, and board leadership.

A look under the hood at this year’s was like watching a Chef’s Table episode unfold in an NYC bodega — all at the scale of more than 403,590 square feet.

Our most sustainable Benefit yet featured a full food-scrap collection effort, with waste converted into clean energy capable of powering 5,000 homes and commercial buildings. The event also featured nearly 60,000 donatable items — including nonperishable food, baby care products, and household essentials — which we sent to community partners across all five boroughs for immediate distribution to New Yorkers in need.

One of the world’s largest single-day fundraisers, our Benefit gathers 4,000 people at the — including more than 3,000 attendees and nearly 1,000 crew and staff, across philanthropic partners, business and corporate teams, production crews, catering teams, artists, performers, union workers, and more — all united by one mission: celebrate and support NYC.

Nearly 60,000 items. One incredible community effort.**💚**

From pantry staples to baby formula, kitchenware to diverse foods, the impact of this year’s Benefit extends far beyond our big night.

We built major installations with these goods — a yellow taxi built from cans, a stocked bodega with baby care items, an entryway wall of pots and pants — and, starting immediately after the show was over, we got them ready to go to those who need them most.

Together with our generous partners, we’re stocking the shelves of organizations serving New Yorkers across the city, including , , , , , , and .

At the , there’s no such thing as too many cooks in the kitchen.

Thank you to our incredible stars of the evening: , for her energizing finale concert, for their fantastic dinner set, and the Young People’s Chorus of New York City — — for their moving performance. For that, thank you to Elizabeth Núñez, Creative Director, & Francisco J. Núñez, Artistic Director & Founder! And a big thank you to Pete Davidson for wave after wave of laughter.

Thank you to the 1,500 production crew, Robin Hood staff, our phenomenal co-chairs and corporate co-chair, the creative directors, choreographers, caterers, tech crews, and every single person who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. You built a jaw-dropping, unforgettable event.

And a major thank you to every donor, community and corporate partner, and dedicated governance member. This would not have been a family meal to remember without you. You make us Robin Hood.

This year’s Benefit really took the cake. 4,000 New Yorkers in the Javits, $73 million (and counting!) raised, and the announcement of a $1 billion endowment to permanently secure our poverty-fighting mission. Our community of caring always reminds us that we are stronger together.

Robin Hood’s community never ceases to amaze. In just one night, we’ve raised $73 million — and counting — to support our poverty-fighting work.

Because of the generosity of people who supported this year’s , we can provide more opportunities for thousands of New Yorkers in need.

And now, we’re building on this work with the launch of our Campaign for the Future — a $1 billion endowment to permanently secure our poverty-fighting mission, anchored by the Bezos family’s $100M Jackie Bezos Endowment for Early Childhood. Our community of caring always reminds us that we are stronger together.

Nearly 1 in 3 New Yorkers is hungry. More than 1 in 4 lives in poverty. Now, and for generations to come, our network of community partners will enable our neighbors to put food on the table, keep stable housing, learn in high-quality environments, find new pathways to work and, ultimately, build a permanent path out of poverty.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to those who choose to support this work. Thanks to you, our neighbors can be fed, cared for, and supported. Thank you for being Robin Hood.

This year’s Benefit – held this coming Monday, May 11 – is all about food: an effort to raise awareness of critical hunger levels in NYC and celebrate how food is the heart of this city. Robin Hood founder Paul Tudor Jones appeared on Squawk Box this morning with a profound reminder of the importance of community and stepping up for those in need. With nearly 1 in 3 New Yorkers experiencing hunger, Paul urged all of us to help: “It’s our obligation to do what we can… We can give our time, we can give our money, and we can give [our hearts].” Get your tickets to join us on Monday and show up for New Yorkers in need: https://robinhood.org/events/benefit/

This week, Blue Ridge Labs at Robin Hood hosted Innovation Day — a full day of fireside chats, structured brainstorming, and bold ideas designed to make the city's child care ecosystem work better for workers, providers, children, and parents.

Funders. Tech founders. Government. Nonprofits. Educators. Providers. Parents. All in one place, working toward one goal: using technology to make quality childcare sustainable for every NYC family.

Teams tackled two urgent challenges — how to help childcare businesses stay operationally viable and fully enrolled, and how to better support and retain the educators who make it all possible.

12 NYC nonprofit leaders. 7 months. One goal: build organizations strong enough to keep changing lives, no matter what gets thrown at them.

Now in its 10th year and supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, Robin Hood's Grant Readiness and Insights Training program backs frontline nonprofit executives outside our grantmaking portfolio — investing in the fundraising, operational, and leadership skills that help them grow.

This year's cohort includes leaders whose organizations are doing important work in education, early childhood development, criminal justice, economic opportunity, workforce development, and more:

NYC parents and caregivers, we need to hear from you!

Robin Hood and have partnered with to conduct the NYC Parent Survey, a first-of-its-kind opportunity for parents and caregivers to shape what free child care looks like in their neighborhoods: the kind of care they want, where they want it, and when they need it.

It takes a city to fight poverty.

But it takes a community of caring to make that fight possible.

In 2025, Robin Hood Nation showed what that looks like — New Yorkers stepping up in every way. Volunteering their time. Running miles. Building new communities. Partnering to drive real impact.

This is how opportunity reaches every New Yorker — not just today, but for generations to come.
