The PPM-MPP believes in the following PRINCIPLES OF UNITY:

1. We believe in People Power.

2. We believe in Fighting and Ending Racism and its Legacy.

3. We believe Women are Powerful and Must be in the Leadership.

4. We believe in the Power of a United Working People with the Leadership of People of Color.

5. We believe in Independent Politics. OUR IMMEDIATE DEMANDS - We Want:

1. Government

sponsorship of a jobs program ensuring full employment at a living wage. Restore and improve social services. No budget cuts, no layoffs.

2. Popular Control of government and all sectors that are vital to the development of our society.

3. Stop privatization of public housing and the policy of deliberately allowing public housing to deteriorate.

4. Institute free quality public transportation.

5. End all forms of discrimination and oppression based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, immigration status, religion, and sexual orientation. We demand measures to redress hundreds of years of racist oppression.

6. While we unite with all people who genuinely want to fight for social justice we recognize that the key to our future success will depend on the alliance of Black and Latino working people.

7. Amnesty to all undocumented workers.

8. End military recruitment in all schools.

9. End “stop-and-frisks” and all forms of racist targeting. End police abuse and brutality.

Lo que comienza mal, termina mal...What starts wrong, ends wrong...This country started with great hope for some and great genocide and slavery for others! It's time to build a 3rd Republic on this land that corrects the wrongs that have been perpetrated and build on the good that has been struggled for and achieved! This 3rd US Republic needs to ensure Prosperity, Security, and Peace for All! All Power to the People!

While reading "Value, Price and Profit" by Karl Marx I received a copy of Slavoj Zizek's "Heaven in Disorder." As I read it, I'm finding some true gems. On page 164, I found something that weakens the argument for "intersectionality." The idea that all "oppressions" are equal but that different groups should work together is a step forward, compared to the 1 issuism in which many activists engage, but it misses a very crucial element. According to Zizek, "Is class antagonism not also transversed by sexual and racial tensions? We should reject this solution for a precise reason: there is a formal difference between class antagonism and other antagonisms."
He further goes on to talk about sexual and racial antagonisms and how they are looking for "non-antagonistic co-existence." Transgender folks and Women are not fighting to exterminate men, similarly, Black people are not trying to exterminate all European people. The struggles to end sexism and racism are looking at a future of inclusion and equality of opportunity, decision making, and power. However, according to Zizek, " Class struggle does not function in this way. It aims at mutual recognition and respect of classes only in its Fascist or corporatist versions. Class struggle is a "pure" antagonism: the goal of the oppressed and exploited is to abolish classes as such, not to enact their reconciliation."
