A conservative believes some things are actually true whether you like them or not.
A relativist believes truth is whatever makes them feel virtuous that afternoon.

One looks up to God, to natural law, to the accumulated wisdom of people who built civilization before they were born.
The other looks in the mirror and declares the reflection the final authority.

A conservative stands on principle even when it costs them friends, likes, or brunch invitations. A relativist stands on preferences and calls it “progress” the moment the preference changes.

One thinks murder is wrong, marriage has a definition, and a man cannot become a woman because reality does not take requests. The other thinks all of the above are “just your truth,” right up until the moment their own preferences get threatened then suddenly objectivity makes a dramatic comeback.

Conservatives build cathedrals, constitutions, and cultures that outlast them. Relativists build vibes, hashtags, and moral hierarchies that collapse the second the algorithm shifts.

One asks: “Is this right?”

The other asks: “Does this feel affirming?”

That’s the difference. One is trying to live under something higher. The other is trying to be the highest thing in the room. vs.

Charlie Kirk predicted left wing assassination culture. He died confirming that prediction. Nearly a year later, instead of soul searching, parts of the left are still online doing victory laps, mocking supporters, and turning the anniversary into content.

That’s not “holding power accountable.”

That’s normalizing political murder as entertainment. Call it what it is: vile, divisive, dead end extremism. The rest of us just noticed.

For individuals, families, and nations that directly survived Soviet repression, the hammer and sickle evokes the exact same visceral trauma, grief, and offense as the sw****ka.

Sympathizers frequently attempt to separate the foundational theory of communism (classless, stateless society) from its real world implementation by regimes like Stalin's USSR, Pot's Khmer Rouge (CPK) , or Mao's China.

This leads to the common rhetorical defense that those regimes "were not real communism," allowing them to dismiss the associated atrocities as distortions of the ideology rather than its direct result.
