Met Council’s Major High Holiday Food Distribution at UJC of the East Side, 15-17 Willett Street on Sep 3 2026 with Betsy Johnson, Executive Director, UJC of the East Side; Benni Avshayev, Director, Special Projects, Met Council; and others. Yesterday, 9/3, I joined my colleagues at New York City Council to lay a wreath in honor of the 2,977 people who were killed on September 11, 2001, at the 9/11 memorial. Glad to share that the NYC Council has also secured $1 million in the FY27 budget for free student field trips to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum
