We’re bringing together voices from the community and beyond – Big Russ, Michael Garner, Captain Johnson, and Jordan Wright – to get real about what’s happening on our streets and in our homes.

From gun violence and young people in survival mode, to housing instability, job access, MWBEs, and pathways into the trades – this is about moving from conversation to action.

Clippers over guns. Skills over survival. Opportunity over outcome.

We’re talking housing. We’re talking mentorship. We’re talking trade programs that actually stick. We’re talking about building long-term plans for communities that have been left out for too long.

It was beautiful to see families, children, and neighbors come together to celebrate Eid with food, music, dancing, and community spirit.

We just completed an important walkthrough in El Barrio along East 125th Street with Council Member Elsie Encarnación, Commissioner Tisch, and her leadership team.

We came together to listen, learn, and better understand what this community needs. As the Second Avenue Subway moves closer to reality, we’re focused on bringing every stakeholder to the table, including City Hall, to ensure East Harlem benefits from the investments ahead.

Before revitalization comes healing. That’s the work we’re committed to doing together.

Southern legislatures count Black residents to build their delegations, then draw maps so those same residents cannot elect anyone who represents them. That is the three-fifths compromise dressed up for 2026.

The Edmund Pettus Bridge belongs to all of us. Fannie Lou Hamer belongs to all of us. John Lewis belongs to all of us.

What is happening in the South does not stay in the South. It comes for all of us next.
