🌟 Big Wins from Our On-Site Admissions Events! 🌟

From mid-December through early January, our College & Career Room was buzzing with opportunity — and the results speak for themselves!

Our Molloy University on-site admissions event was the largest ever, with over 20 students earning $350,000 in merit scholarships— $1.4 million over four years! 🎓💰

We also welcomed Mercy University, SUNY Old Westbury, Nassau Community College, and Long Island University, where students received on-the-spot admissions into competitive programs, including Molloy Nursing, Mercy Nursing, LIU Pharmacy, and SUNY Old Westbury Education.

Welcome to our new board member!!!!

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the Board of Education appointed Yvette Janniere as its new trustee. Trustee Janniere brings a wealth of leadership and strategic management experience to the role. She is currently the CEO of Rigor Management, a consulting firm specializing in IT program management, strategic planning, and organizational development.

Trustee Janniere has a long history of civic engagement, including serving on the Bond Oversight Committee. She has held numerous leadership roles with the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Women Transportation Seminar, the Project Management Institute, and the National Association of Professional Women.

“I am honored to bring my expertise to serve the families of the Uniondale School District,” Trustee Janniere said. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow Board members to support the District’s mission and ensure every scholar has the tools needed to succeed.”

Support comes in many shapes and forms, but at the end of the day, we are stronger TOGETHER in this journey called life.

What a beautiful moment last month to once again have an opportunity for Uniondale School District leaders, students and alumni to present at the annual convention of the New York State School Boards Association to share information about the work we are doing to empower students. Congratulations to all who presented and collaborated with students who participated in various ways. It was a proud moment for us all. Stay tuned ... we are yet working diligently to share journey.

Congratulations Destini!!!!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!

We are celebrating Destini Barrow! Destini has won the SECOND PLACE PRIZE in the “Celebration of Suburban Diversity 2025” Student Essay Contest!

This prestigious award is developed in collaboration with the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University. Destini’s essay on diversity on Long Island earned her a $2,000 scholarship!

We are so proud of her excellent work!
