The Light of Liberty Project endeavors to have the Statue of Liberty's torch declared a universal symbol of hope and solidarity, as well as to move our society towards a global community. We all share similar challenges and our futures and dependencies grow nearer than ever. Liberty is an enduring and persistent verb that has a conjugation only in the present and the future. It must be self-sustaining for its light inspires hope, opportunity and understanding.
