Sunshine, teamwork, and a lot of cheering!

About 40 young people from our Children’s Community Residences came together for their 2026 Summer Games at FDR State Park. They spent the day playing kickball, relay races, tug-of-war, board games, swimming, and more.

Events like these are made possible by our incredible staff, donors, and volunteers. Thank you to everyone for creating a day full of connection, fun, and summer memories!

Congratulations to our first-ever Social Work Residency graduates!

Over the past three years, this inaugural cohort balanced full-time clinical work with intensive training, supervision, mentorship, and hands-on experience supporting New Yorkers across our communities.

We’re proud to celebrate their dedication, growth, and the path they helped build for future social work residents.

This is a great way to start volunteering: all supplies are provided, no further commitment, and you get to make a difference in the lives of real NYC school children. Take a breath and remind yourself that you don’t have to be perfect to be a good parent. Your best is all you can do.
