Idlewild Park Preserve/ Idlewild Park Preservation Committee The Idlewild Park Preservation Committee is a committee dedicated to the preservation of Idlewild Park Preserve, located in Southeast Queens.

The Idlewild Park Preservation Committee is a committee of the Eastern Queens Alliance, Inc, a federation of civic associations in Southeast Queens. It is a stewardship group dedicated to the preservation, development and maintenance of Idlewild Park Preserve, a 346 acre wetland area in the Brookville, Rosedale and Springfield Gardens Communities. The wetlands in the park constitute the headwaters

to Jamaica Bay. The park is a valuable intertidal saltmarsh. The committee plans activities, events and effective methods to implement the committee's strategic action plan. To learn more about our efforts go to the Idlewild tab at www.easternqueensalliance.org.
