I'm proud that I have fought the MTA's corner for nearly 25 years in Albany, and very pleased to receive this fantastic sign! As the senator from one of the most transit-heavy districts in the city (all those lines pass through the 28th), I know transit is the lifeblood of NYC and its people.

It's beyond absurd that the Park Avenue Armory Conservancy is still working so hard to evict a 125-yr old kids' afterschool program, two years after we had to pass a state law to protect them. I will continue to stand with the Greys until the Conservancy comes to their senses.

Encore Community Services will be hosting a pop-up produce bag distribution at their older adult center at St. Malachy's Church on 49th Street between Broadway and 8th Ave throughout the month of August. They will have up to 600 free 5-pound produce bags per week. The only criterion is age (60+). One bag per person per week the entire month of August.

Pleased New York State Attorney General James has issued a consumer warning about the dangers of illegal micromobility sales as suggested in the letter my Senate colleagues and I sent earlier this month. Dangerously fast micromobility vehicles are a threat to all road users, including their riders. I look forward to working with my fellow legislators to tackle this issue further next session.
