SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 “The Western Cape High Court has barred Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) protesters from making claims linking Cape Union Mart, its brands, and chairperson Philip Krawitz to Israel, genocide and the war in Gaza.

The judgment was handed down on Friday.

A full Bench comprising Judges Judith Cloete, Constance Noluthando Nziweni and Roy Barendse, found that the PSC respondents had failed to produce “direct evidence and have not made out a plausible case, let alone suggested that a referral to oral evidence or trial would support any sustainable defence”.

They also found that many of the “admitted utterances complained of were presented as factual statements”.” (News 24)

The California legislature just sent six Jewish community bills to Governor Newsom’s desk: recognition mandatory, enforcement optional.

The state will count Jews - the first in the nation to list Jewish as an ethnicity. It will schedule around our holidays. It will spend millions guarding our synagogues. It will draw an 8-foot bubble outside houses of worship - but that will be a misdemeanor that only a prosecutor can invoke, not a cause of action for a congregant.

The recognition is welcome, but it’s late. The Supreme Court long recognized Jews as a people, not just a faith. And the system that produces Jew-hatred - the classrooms that teach it, the campuses that foster it, and the workplaces that ignore it - is untouched by all six bills.

Whether or not Newsom signs these into law, our fight must continue. Enforce the criminal laws that exist. Assert our legal rights. Demand justice and accountability for our clients, and our people. The Lawfare Project will continue to fight in court until Jewish civil rights are enforced, not merely recognized.

According to the NY Post, a Jewish family flying home to Israel opened their checked bag and found a note stuffed inside: "F—k Israel."

That bag had already been screened. Someone with access after TSA put hate in it.

This is not a one-off. Stickers on 140 El Al bags at LAX. "Palestine" scrawled on luggage in Barcelona. "Zionazi" and "Free Palestine" written on kosher meals. Jewish children pulled off a plane in Spain.

This latest incident isn’t just hate. It’s a federal crime - unauthorized interference with screened checked baggage, abuse of airside access, and potentially state criminal mischief charges.

Bottom line: the crime of tampering with the security chain exists so that no one can put anything in a Jewish family’s suitcase.

Today, it was a note. The next person with access doesn’t have to stop at paper. Investigate. Prosecute. Impose consequences on Jew-hatred.

ORLANDO, FL — “A 26-year-old Ohio man has been arrested and charged in federal court after allegedly sending a graphic email threatening to murder U.S. Rep. Randy Fine, R-Fla., and the congressman’s entire family, federal prosecutors announced.

Alex Justin Miller of Columbus was charged with interstate transmission of a threat to injure, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida. If convicted, he faces a maximum of five years in federal prison.

The email was sent at 9:02 a.m. on Aug. 18, the day of Florida’s Republican primary, in which Fine won nomination for another term. At the time, Fine was attending a meeting in Flagler County while family members were at their residence in Brevard County, court records show.

The message’s subject line read, “Can’t wait to s**** your h*** off your shoulders!! :)”.” (VIN News)

No one holding public office should have to fear for their life due to Jew-hatred and threats. Miller should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

BREAKING: The United States on Wednesday named the UK-based Palestine Action group, which has been banned by the British government, as a “specially designated global terrorist” organization.

The US also issued sanctions against the group, saying the move was for supporting “an act of terrorism.”

Palestine Action’s stated goal on its website is to end “global participation in Israel’s genocidal and apartheid regime.”

It gained visibility after Israel launched a devastating military campaign in Gaza following the October 7, 2023, attack by fighters from Palestinian group Hamas in southern Israel.

Since coming to power for his second term, US President Donald Trump has issued orders for his government to designate what it terms “far-left” groups as terrorist organizations.

Wednesday’s US action also designated Italy-based Autistici/Inventati (also known as A/I Collective) and pro-Palestinian group Masar Badil as “terrorist” organizations.

US State Department spokesperson Tommy Piggot declared all three groups, including Palestine Action, as being “violent far-left terrorist groups.”

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington would bring “the full weight of our economic tools to bear” against far-left groups.

“Political terrorism has no place in our society, and we will continue to cut the financial lifelines of these groups until they are eliminated.” (Vanguard)

Two people are wanted for allegedly hurling bags of motor oil at two Queens synagogues — damaging both buildings — in a brazen overnight spree last month, police said.

The duo approached the rear of Young Israel of Jamaica Estates on 188th Street near Midland Parkway and chucked the crude substance at the building around 11:45 p.m. on July 16, police said.

Rabbi Dov Lerner, of the synagogue, told the Jewish News Service that the crime and similar hateful acts “seek to create fear and division, but they will achieve the opposite.”

“We will continue to gather proudly, pray together and strengthen our community with dignity, faith and resilience,” Lerner added.

The suspects also hurled the bags of motor oil at the rear of Young Israel of Holliswood on Francis Lewis Boulevard near the Grand Central Parkway between 11 p.m. that night and 6:20 the next morning, police said.

Rabbi Moshe Taub, of that synagogue, told the Jewish News Service that his house of worship was also vandalized with f***s.

Jew-hatred has no place in New York. The perpetrators must face the full extent of the law.

🚨 The FBI arrested a 35-year-old Islamic American woman accused of plotting to bomb the New York State Capitol in Albany after allegedly pledging allegiance to ISIS.

Investigators say Jessica Bowie wanted to carry out the attack while lawmakers were inside.

Now, more than ever, it’s important that we unite against radical extremism that is taking over our country.

Federal Judge Alfredo López of Mar del Plata was unanimously removed from office by an Argentine impeachment jury after publishing discriminatory social media posts targeting the Jewish community.

The ruling marks a historic milestone as the first time a federal judge in Argentina has been dismissed explicitly for open Jew-hatred in speech.

A Jewish woman was kicked out of Karimi Brows in Alexandria, Virginia, after disclosing that she is Israeli.

This isn’t simply an ugly interaction between a business owner and a customer; discrimination based on national origin violates federal civil rights law.

No one should be denied service or treated as unwelcome because they are Israeli or Jewish.

Jew-Hatred doesn’t become acceptable when it is repackaged as hostility toward Israelis. Discrimination is discrimination.

Swastikas. “KKK.” Racial slurs.

A Jewish fraternity house belonging to Alpha Epsilon Pi members at UC San Diego was vandalized with antisemitic and racist graffiti in an attack police are investigating as a hate crime. This was an act intended to intimidate Jewish students and make them fear for their safety in their own community.

Antisemitic intimidation cannot be normalized as part of campus life. Those responsible must be identified and held accountable under the law, and UC San Diego must ensure Jewish students can live and study free from targeted harassment and threats.
