Residents in nursing homes trust that they are receiving the care and medication they need, especially when it comes to pain relief. The thought of someone suffering needlessly because their medication was replaced with a vitamin is devastating. This is why oversight and accountability matters!

An Iowa nursing home where hundreds of narcotic painkillers for residents were secretly replaced with vitamins or over-the-counter medications is facing a $500 fine.

Set a reminder - We need your voice! Please take a moment today to call the legislator pictured on this flyer and ask them to support the New York Camera Bill β€” a common sense, privacy-conscious, zero-cost measure that gives families the ability to place a camera in their loved one's room in a long-term care facility.
πŸ“ž Their number is on the flyer. It only takes a few minutes and it truly matters.
P.S. If you didn't get a chance to call yesterday, please make that call today!

Goodbye From the Driveway

Every time she drove away, they were there β€” standing in the same spot, giving the same loving wave.
For 27 years, Deanna Dikeman quietly photographed this simple goodbye. Each visit ended with her parents outside their home, smiling and waving as she left. What began in the early '90s as a small personal habit slowly became a powerful visual story of love, routine, aging, and time passing.

Across seasons, years, and changing light, the gesture stayed the same β€” a reminder that the smallest moments often hold the deepest emotion.

What started as a private family memory later touched thousands online, reminding people that ordinary goodbyes can become extraordinary when we look back on them.

Some goodbyes don't change… they only become more meaningful with time. πŸ“·πŸ€

It only takes 5 minutes to be someone's voice.

Elderly residents in care facilities deserve to be protected β€” even when their families can't be there. A simple camera in their room can give loved ones peace of mind and serve as a powerful deterrent against neglect and abuse.

We're asking you to make one phone call to your legislators today. Ask them to support the right of families to install cameras in their loved ones' rooms.
Five minutes. One call. It could change everything for someone who can't speak up for themselves.

πŸ“ž Make the call. Be the voice.
