We are proud to support UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center's playroom revitalization with a $14,000 grant!

Access to a comfortable and fun environment, free of medical equipment, where children and teens can take a "break" while receiving care is critical to their mental wellbeing. But these moments would not be possible without funding from The Toy Foundation.

“It can be hard to feel comfortable in a hospital, and a simple toy can make a big difference," shared a care coordinator at Phoenix Children's.

This year, approximately 220,000 pediatric patients will gain access to play during medical care. Through The Toy Foundation's Play Fund, more than $600,000 was distributed to 37 children's hospitals nationwide to fund play space renovations, sensory-friendly experiences, medical play tools, and more.

We are only halfway through the grant period, and this finding is already transforming the hospital experience for young patients by reducing anxiety and providing a vital sense of normalcy.
