When my wife and I relocated to New Orleans with our kids, same-sex marriages had not yet become legal in the state of Louisiana. While our wedding story is one I share often, I always say that we were fortunate enough to have an officiant that made us feel comfortable on our wedding day. To feel completely supported and seen on our wedding day was a feeling I will always c
herish. She truly set the tone for a fun-loving and beautiful ceremony. After the Supreme Court's decision to make same-sex marriages legal in all of the united states it only seemed natural for me to become an officiant! Even with the new laws, the selection of officiants that openly support LGBTQ+, non-traditional, eclectic, and non-denominational ceremonies is very slim - that was the birth of Waning Moon Weddings. Creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone to celebrate their union on their terms is one of my deepest passions. It is my hope that my clients are inspired to have the type of ceremony that is most sacred and special to them with me at the altar guiding them through! Peace & Love,
