Bioethics Defense Fund

Bioethics Defense Fund Law in the Service of Life. Education and Debates: BDF uses a human rights approach to educate at law schools, medical schools and in the media.

Litigation: With over two decades of litigating the life issues in federal and state courts, including the United States Supreme Court, BDF attorneys use a strategic long-term vision to advise on constitutional court strategies. BDF often represents medical associations to provide the courts with the peer-reviewed studies and scientific facts that inform bioethics policy issues. Legislation: BDF

attorneys draft strategic model legislation and provide valuable legislative expertise for legislative committees, governors and executive staff, state legislators, Capitol Hill staffers, and policy leaders around the world. BDF also educates at national and international medical conferences at venues such as the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and the Matercare Conference in Rome.
