Wow—it's already been a week since Covenant Shelter of New London was named the inaugural Impact 100 Southern Connecticut grant recipient!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Impact 100 President Luci Pelletier, Joan Gibbons, and Finola Stenson to the shelter for a tour, the official signing of the grant agreement, and the exciting start of bringing our Thrive365 initiative to life.

We want the entire Impact 100 community to know just how immediate this impact is. Thanks to this transformational investment, the first phase of Thrive365 will help stabilize three meals a day for our guests—providing consistency, nourishment, and dignity when it's needed most.

We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and can't wait to share more updates in the weeks ahead as Thrive365 takes shape!

We are deeply humbled and incredibly grateful to have been named the inaugural grant recipient of the Impact 100 Southern Connecticut.

To be selected by a community of women committed to creating transformational change is an honor that means so much to everyone at Covenant Shelter of New London. This investment in our mission will have a lasting impact on the individuals and families experiencing homelessness whom we serve every day.

A heartfelt thank you to the members of Impact 100 Southern Connecticut for believing in our work and for making such a powerful commitment to the communities of our region. The energy, generosity, and support at the event were truly inspiring.

We were especially honored to meet Wendy Steele, whose vision has empowered women to come together and make an extraordinary difference in communities across the country.

The 2026 Merrill-Fontaine Awards Dinner was a powerful and inspiring reminder of what community looks like.

To everyone who supported this event — through sponsorships, attending the dinner, participating in the silent auction, volunteering your time, or simply standing alongside us as an ally — thank you. We’re excited to share that Sarah Fox will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Merrill-Fontaine Awards Dinner on May 7.

As CEO of the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness, Sarah has dedicated over a decade to building partnerships, shaping policy, and expanding access to housing for those who need it most. Her leadership has helped drive real progress across the state—bringing us closer to a future where homelessness is rare and brief.

We can’t wait to hear her insights and celebrate this important work together!
