⚠️ Weather Advisory: Multi-Day Flood Risk for Iberia Parish ⚠️
Iberia Parish OHSEP is tracking a significant, multi-day tropical rain event. An area-wide Flood Watch is currently in effect through early Wednesday, and the flooding threat will compound daily as rainfall stacks up.
Monday & Tuesday: Torrential downpours with dangerous rain rates of 1.5 to 3.0+ inches per hour are possible, capable of triggering sudden street flooding.
Wednesday: A brief, temporary lull in rainfall.
Thursday & Beyond: A second, more intense wave of tropical rain arrives. Coastal flooding is also possible later in the week as coastal low pressure moves inland.
🛑 Stay Weather-Aware:
Turn Around, Don't Drown: Heavy downpours can mean large amounts of rain and fast-pooling water. Never drive through flooded roadways.
Monitor local updates closely, as the Flood Watch is highly likely to be extended later into the week.
